Power Upfront, Sats Out the Back: The Deal with Sazmining's Initial Service Fee

At Sazmining, we keep it simple, honest, and Bitcoin-friendly. One of the most common questions we get from new miners is:
"Why do I have to pay my first month's service fee before my miner even starts hashing?"
It’s a fair question. Let’s break it down so you know exactly why this is part of the process — and how it actually helps you mine more effectively.
💡 It’s Not a Fee — It’s a Power Deposit
When you become a Sazminer, you're plugging into real, renewable energy powering your rig — hydropower, wind, or a mix of clean energy sources depending on your chosen site.
Just like you’d pay a deposit when starting service with a traditional utility company, you’ll pay a power deposit upfront to secure electricity for your miner. This isn’t an extra or hidden charge — it’s simply your first month’s service fee, collected before the rig starts hashing to guarantee your machine has juice on day one.
🔄 It Rolls Over — You're Not Paying Twice
Here’s where it gets better:
Your service deposit isn't a one-time or sunk cost. It rolls over and stays on your account.
Once you pay your first month, this deposit automatically gets drawn down as your miner runs. You’ll only pay again once you start mining and your upfront deposit begins to be used up.
Think of it as pre-loading your Sazmining account with credit — you aren’t double-paying, you’re simply making sure you have power available before the rig starts stacking sats for you.
⛏️ You Can’t Hash for Free (And That's a Good Thing)
Bitcoin mining isn’t magic. It’s a real-world activity that turns electricity into sound money. Without paying for power, rigs don’t hash, and without hashing, there are no sats coming your way.
Paying upfront guarantees your rig has the electricity it needs to operate when it's plugged in. Unlike some services that disguise or delay costs until later, we prefer transparency — Bitcoiners love knowing exactly where their sats are going.
⚖️ No Hidden Markups — Just Real Power Costs
Here’s one of the most Bitcoiner-aligned parts of Sazmining:
We don’t mark up electricity (or rigs).
Many hosting providers quietly bake profit into their power rates. We don’t.
Our only compensation comes from the clearly stated management fee (% share of the block reward), which covers operations and world-class customer service.
This means our success is 100% tied to your mining success. We only win when you’re winning — by mining wild sats as efficiently as possible!
🟠 TL;DR for the TLDR People
- ✅ The upfront payment is a power deposit to secure electricity
- 🔄 It rolls over and gets used when you start mining
- ⛏️ No free hashes — rigs need real power from day one
- ⚖️ We don’t upcharge electricity (or rigs)— we pass through actual costs
- 🚀 Sazmining's incentives are fully aligned with customers— we succeed when you do
In Bitcoin, transparency matters. This simple system keeps incentives aligned, ensures your rig has the power it needs, and helps you start stacking wild sats the right way.
